Campgrounds is one of Lady Musgrave Experience's outer-reef drift sites in the Capricorn Bunker Group, described by the operator as an untouched and little-known site. The dive follows a reef wall at 12-18 m, with isolated coral formations of varied hard and soft corals that divers pass as the current carries them along. Visibility is typically 12-30 m. The strong currents that make the site a good drift also bring pelagic animals, and the operator lists sharks, sea turtles, manta rays and pelagic fish among regular encounters. The coral formations provide shelter for reef fish, and each isolated structure is worth a brief look as the drift passes. Like all of Lady Musgrave Experience's outer-reef sites, it is run as a guided drift from the custom dive tender Underworld: a divemaster leads a free descent, the group drifts with the current, and the skipper follows to collect everyone after a free ascent. Divers need Open Water certification and recent experience, and book through the Adventure Outer Reef Double Dive or an overnight pontoon package. Because the site is less dived than Manta Bommies or Entrance Bommies, it retains an unspoiled character, and divers who have already visited the better-known sites on a previous trip often ask for it. The name suggests a link to the national park camping area on Lady Musgrave Island, but its exact position is not published. Campgrounds suits Open Water divers comfortable in current. Depths are moderate, so bottom times are reasonable, and the wall provides a natural reference for staying at the briefed depth. As with all outer-reef sites here, conditions on the day decide whether it is dived: the operator picks the sheltered edge and the tide window that give the best drift.
