Meet the site
Club 10 is a Passions of Paradise site on Milln Reef, and the company uses it to show off what the reef does best. Its description is simple: acres of beautiful shallow coral with two large coral-draped bommies. The shallow garden is extensive and in good light is a mass of hard coral, branching, plate and boulder forms, with soft corals and anemones between them, thick with damselfish, chromis, anthias and other small reef fish. The two bommies rise from the sand beside the garden and give divers something to aim for; their flanks are covered in coral and host larger fish such as coral trout, sweetlips and emperors, while trevally and other pelagic fish sweep past. Out on the sand between the bommies, colonies of garden eels rise and fall. Because so much of the reef is shallow, the dive works well for mixed groups and for divers who want long, relaxed bottom times without going deep, and the site is equally good for snorkellers, who can drift across the garden and look down on divers around the bommies. Turtles are common on Milln and may be seen. Club 10 is not a dramatic wall or current site, and for divers seeking depth the nearby Three Sisters or Whale Bommie are better choices, but as an introduction to the outer reef or a gentle second dive it is hard to fault. Detailed published depth information is limited, so the depths here are estimates. The site is also a good place to see the reef's full range of coral growth forms in a single short swim across the garden.
