For technical divers, the specifics matter more than the label. Establish separately: the technical agency and maximum course level; whether helium and Trimix are blended on site and how reliable supply currently is; which CCR units are supported and whether sorb is stocked; whether cylinders can be oxygen cleaned and hydrostatically tested in-house; and stage cylinder hire availability.
Helium availability in particular should be treated as time-sensitive everywhere in Australia — global supply fluctuates, and a business blending Trimix last season may not be doing so this month.
Victorian technical divers should treat helium as a trip-planning variable rather than a given. Supply fluctuates globally, prices move, and the sensible approach is to confirm availability close to the date rather than assume it from an earlier conversation.
