The Apartments is described by Lady Musgrave Experience as an untouched and undiscovered dive site on the outer reef of the Capricorn Bunker Group. It is a drift wall dive at 12-22 m, with visibility of 15-35 m, featuring pristine plate corals along the reef wall. Encounters listed by the operator include sharks, sea turtles, sea snakes, manta rays and pelagic species, alongside diverse hard and soft coral. The plate corals stack along the wall in layers, which may be the origin of the site's name, and provide shelter for reef fish beneath. Like all of Lady Musgrave Experience's outer-reef sites, it is run as a guided drift from the custom dive tender Underworld: a divemaster leads a free descent, the group drifts with the current, and the skipper follows to collect everyone after a free ascent. Divers need Open Water certification and recent experience, and book through the Adventure Outer Reef Double Dive or an overnight pontoon package. Because the site starts a little deeper than some of the other outer sites, divers should watch their depth and no-decompression time, particularly if it is the second dive of the day. The Apartments suits Open Water divers with recent experience and comfort in current. It is a good site for wide-angle photography when visibility is at its best, with the layered plates and passing pelagics making strong subjects. Its exact position is not published, and as with all the outer-reef sites, the operator chooses it on the day based on conditions.
