The idea
Completing an introductory qualification begins a learning journey. Recent practice, comfort, equipment and the next environment all matter when deciding what support to seek.
After a break, or before an unfamiliar activity, discuss your experience with an instructor. A refresher or further course may be appropriate. Choose the next step for the learning it provides rather than collecting course names without opportunities to practise.

Put it in context
| Idea | What it means | Question to explore |
|---|---|---|
| Recent practice | How familiar skills feel now | What needs supervised review? |
| New environment | A change in conditions or setting | What preparation is appropriate? |
| Next step | Instruction and supported practice | What will I learn and practise? |
