The idea
Kelp is a type of large brown algae. Seagrasses are flowering plants adapted to living in the sea. Both can form important habitats, but their biology is different.
Use careful observation and reliable identification resources rather than assuming that everything green underwater is seaweed. Notice broad features from a respectful distance and record uncertainty. There is no need to pull up a specimen to make a learning note.
