The idea
A useful outing plan includes what happens if the original idea no longer fits the conditions or people involved. An alternative might be a different activity or postponement, rather than a different dive.
Discuss who communicates changes and how the group will make decisions before time pressure builds. Money already spent or a long drive does not make conditions more suitable. Learning to accept a change is part of developing sound judgement.
