The idea
Breathing gas is a finite supply. Understanding the relevant instruments and the plan for communicating information is part of diver training. A single number copied from an article is not a plan for every diver and environment.
Ask your instructor how gas planning and communication are taught for your course and equipment. This awareness lesson does not prescribe starting pressures, reserves or turn points. Those decisions need the actual context and appropriate training.
