The idea

Discomfort may involve equipment fit, uncertainty about instructions or simply not feeling ready. Describing a concern early gives the team a chance to respond. Silence is not reliable evidence that everyone is comfortable.

A useful practice on land is completing the sentence: “I need clarification about…” or “I am not comfortable with…”. The response may involve more explanation, a different arrangement or not proceeding. A learning environment should allow that conversation.
