The idea
An introductory scuba experience is a way to encounter diving under the programme’s supervision arrangements. A certification course includes learning and assessment toward a defined qualification. Completing a pleasant first experience is not the same as completing the training needed for a certification.
When comparing bookings, ask what the programme awards, which water sessions are included, and who supervises you. The name of a package may be a marketing label rather than an agency course name. Keep the formal course name so that you can understand what happens next.

Combine learning, practice and assessment toward the programme’s qualification.
These are different outcomes. An introductory experience is not a required first stage of every certification course.
